Theft and Damage Waiver
Customers who are Private Individuals are welcome to take advantage of our "Waiver" Scheme, whereby for a small extra charge they can be protected from the financial consequences should the equipment hired be stolen or damaged. This "Waiver" is payable in advance and is calculated at the rate of 15% of the total hire charge (in the case of cash customers 15% of the deposit, adjusted as appropriate at the end of the hire).
Should a Private Customer take advantage of the "Waiver" Scheme and the equipment is stolen, the "Waiver" enables him or her to avoid a claim for "Full Replacement Cost" providing the theft is reported immediately to the Police and ourselves, and that subsequently the Crime Number given by the Police is passed to us.
Should the equipment be damaged, the "Waiver" Scheme protects the Private Customer from a claim for full repair costs providing the damage was not malicious or caused by negligence.

Insurance
ALL CUSTOMERS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO CHECK THAT THEIR INSURANCE COVER IS ADEQUATE FOR THE EQUIPMENT HIRED.Insurance is particularly important if you are hiring plant, tools or equipment for any work that may involve a risk of injury, or worse, to yourself, an employee or neighbour, or damage to property. Working at heights can increase the danger of personal injury, while using a mini-excavator poses the risk of (very expensive) damage to cables etc. belonging to electricity, water, telecoms and even television services. Our "Theft & Damage Waiver" can protect our
private customers from the consequences of theft of, and accidental damage to, the item you are hiring, but no more.
All other risks should be discussed with your insurers or insurance broker.
RE-HIRING FROM THIRD PARTIES
Should our Credit Account customers require items of plant, tools and equipment either not part of our hire fleets or in excess of the capacities of our fleet, we can, in some cases, "re-hire" for them from another company. Wherever possible this will be done in accordance with our own Terms and Conditions and at our offered hire rates.
However, in some instances it may be necessary to re-hire under Terms and Conditions less beneficial than our own (e.g. longer minimum hire periods) or at rates higher than ours. In these cases we will recharge to our customers at cost, plus a small administration fee. When this happens, we will use our best endeavour to notify our customer before the hire commences or, if this is not possible, as soon as we can afterwards.
OFF-HIRING AND RETURN OF PLANT, TOOLS & EQUIPMENT
Customers are respectfully reminded that items of plant, tools and equipment remain their responsibility for security etc. until they "are back in the physical possession of the Supplier".
If we are collecting, this mean the customer remains responsible for the security of the items until our driver signs to say he or she has received them, and not when a telephone call is made to "off hire" them.
If our customer returns the item or items themselves, this mean the customer remains responsible not only for the security of the items but also for continuing hire charges until he or she obtains a signature from one of our authorised employees.
Customers should NEVER leave items returned either on or near our premises "out of hours" under any circumstances (we are open from 07:45 to 17:00 on working days and 07:45 to 12 noon on Saturdays) as they will still be his or her responsibility.
Similarly, customers should NEVER leave returned items on our premises even during opening hours without obtaining a signature from an appropriate employee to say that the items are now in our physical possession and are our responsibility.
